Day 1

Requirements call (30 minutes)

What role, what stack, what your team's cadence is, what done looks like. We tell you honestly if we can match in the timeframe you need, or if you should keep looking.

Days 2 to 5

Engineer matched and intro'd

We send 1-2 senior engineers who fit the stack and the team. You meet them, we set up access (GitHub, Slack, Jira or Linear, your CI), and agree on the first ticket.

Week 1

In your standups, shipping their first PR

No ramp month. The engineer joins your daily standup, picks up a real ticket, and has a PR up by end of week one. Same workflow as a senior internal hire.

Week 2 onward

Sprint cadence, weekly progress to your lead

How is this different from a typical outsourcing agency?

We don't hand you a resume and disappear. Our engineers are our full-time employees: vetted, trained, and supported. We stay involved, ensure quality, and swap engineers if the fit isn't right. Think of it as borrowing a team member, not hiring a stranger.

Can I interview the engineer before they start?

Absolutely. We'll provide profiles of matched engineers, and you're welcome to do a technical interview or pair programming session. If the fit isn't right, we'll match someone else.

What's the minimum engagement length?

We ask for a 3-month minimum to make the onboarding investment worthwhile for both sides. After that, it's month-to-month with 2 weeks notice to scale down.

Can I hire the engineer full-time after the engagement?

Yes, we offer a conversion path after 6 months of engagement. We'll work out a transition that's fair to everyone involved.

How quickly can an engineer start?

Typically 1-2 weeks from agreement. If we have an engineer available with the right skills immediately, it can be as fast as a few days.

Do you provide part-time engineers?

Yes. We offer both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time (20 hours/week) engagement models. Part-time works well when you need specialized expertise but don't have a full-time workload.

What if the engineer isn't a good fit?

We'll swap them out. We want this to work as much as you do. If within the first 2 weeks the fit isn't right, whether technical or cultural, we replace them at no additional cost.

Who manages the engineer day-to-day?

You do. They report to your engineering lead or PM, attend your ceremonies, and follow your processes. We handle administrative/HR aspects and periodic check-ins to ensure satisfaction on both sides.
